The trip from start to end.
It’s only a rough guide as we avoided most highways and toll roads – and it doesn’t include getting lost!!
Total Distance: 45,177 km’s – 28,072 miles
Hi. Great website. I am heading to Chile on May 1st to do 7 weeks through Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina on my Yamaha. I was wondering if you can tell me anything about getting third party insurance in South America? I am having no luck at home and have been told it is compulsory. Any help would be much appreciated.

You should be able to pick up a Mercosur insurance policy which covers all of those countries. It’s usually available to buy near the land borders but if you are starting off from Santiago or a big city, it might be easier to buy it there before you head off.
Good luck with the trip and we hope you have a blast!!
